Scholarships of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and Digital Government
The Communications Regulatory Authority and the Communications and Information Technology Development Fund of the digital government launched an important plan to advance the educational process by supporting and developing scientifically distinguished national cadres, in a way that enhances the role and position of the national education sector in related disciplines in the field of communications and information technology.
Fund has invested heavily in an important initiative to allocate hundreds of academic seats for bachelor’s and master’s degrees to prestigious universities in the United Arab Emirates, as well as international universities in the United States, Japan, Australia and the United Kingdom.
The program aims to attract 1,000 students to the scholarship program over the next few years.
The program is part of the fund’s strategy to raise the level of talent in the fields of communications and information technology, including computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, and many other disciplines.
Documents and documents required
1.Completed unconditional admission letter from the university, noting that conditional admission is not accepted for the program.
2.A high school certificate certified by the
Ministry of Education, along with a transcript of final grades.
- Transcript of grades for continuing undergraduate students, with the university’s stamp and the registry office’s signature.
- Family book, all written pages.
- An official IBAN number letter from the bank in the name of the applicant with the bank stamp and signature.
Requirements for admission to the undergraduate program
1.To be a citizen of the United Arab Emirates.
2.At least (75%) of high school diploma or its equivalent in school.
3.The specialization should be in the fields of communications and information technology.
4.Not more than three years after graduating from high school or its equivalent.
5.Not be an employee.
6.You have not received scholarships or grants from any other entity.
7.A letter from the government service (male) with no objection to completing postgraduate studies.
Student Selection Mechanism
The process of selecting students depends on the following:
1.High school degree
2.Obtaining full, unconditional admission without foundation materials and courses
Score of an assessment exam
1.EmSAT (English): 1430 and above.
2.TOEFL: 510 or above or its equivalent.
3.IELTS: 6 and above.
4.SAT (English): minimum score of 480 or equivalent.
Selection mechanism for continuing undergraduate students:
1.GPA of 3.0 and above, subject to the following:
*Vocational subjects (specialisation at least B and above)
*15 study hours minimum.
For continuing master's students
GPA – 3.0 and above, subject to a minimum of 9 credit hours.
Students who are not selected may reapply after at least one semester of undergraduate study, provided they have a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
